We create digital solutions for rail vehicles. We are a modern, independent development centre focusing on digitisation and SMART technologies for vehicles manufactured by Škoda Transportation and other manufacturers.

We are engaged in the development, production and modernisation of control, communication, diagnostic, and multimedia systems and technologies for the autonomous control of rail vehicles and the provision of related services.
In the field of research and development, we develop autonomous driving systems, driver assistants, predictive diagnostic systems and communication and visual monitoring systems, with an emphasis on ensuring the maximum reliability and safety of public transport.
Our products are used in new vehicles as well as modernised vehicles.

  • Jiří Liberda

    Digital Managing director

    He has been CEO of the company Lokel since 2017, which changed its name to Škoda Digital in 2019. His main area of expertise is the development of electronic control systems for rolling stock, which he has been involved in since 2004, and he holds the position of President of Digitalisation within the Škoda Group.

    He received his engineering degree in Electrical Machines, Devices and Drives from the University of Mining and Metallurgy - Technical University of Ostrava. After graduation, he joined Lokel, where he gradually worked his way up from a development worker to a designer to a top management position.
