Škoda 35Tr

The Škoda Group developed and produced the Škoda 35Tr trolleybus to meet the requirements of the global and especially the French market.
It is a modern 18 metre articulated vehicle. The trolleybus can be continuously charged by the "In-Motion Charge" battery via the overhead line, which allows energy to be stored in the car's battery banks. The vehicle can then be deployed on routes that may not be covered by the full length of the overhead catenary. This allows for better handling of public transport lines and reduces infrastructure costs.
The ratio of running on trolley to traction can be as high as 50/50. The operator thus benefits from an electric car that is efficient at all times and does not waste time on static charging, as energy is fed into the car while it is running under the overhead contact line. The new trolleybus was developed in collaboration with the body manufacturer Iveco.
