Ostrava
ForCity Smart trams for the Ostrava public transport company will be 100% low-floor, articulated vehicles.
The trams will have USB ports and will be fully air-conditioned. This will significantly improve the comfort level for passengers. The maximum operating speed will be 80 km/h, which the trams can take full advantage of on the newly planned tram lines in Ostrava.
Other advantages of the new vehicles will include fully pivoting bogies and low axle pressures that reduce loads imposed on the track superstructure.
Five double-leaf doors will allow quick boarding and deboarding for passengers.
The trams will also meet the requirements of the latest European standards, including non-flammability of the materials used for construction, strength of the vehicle body and impact resistance of the vehicle body.
