This is an eighteen-meter, fully low-floor, four-door articulated trolleybus, which is designed for urban transport and facilitates the transport of passengers at increased capacity.
We also have a 6x4 twin-engine version ideal for hilly terrain.
The first Škoda T'CITY 18 trolleybus was manufactured in 2009. The electric equipment is stored in a container on the roof of the vehicle. The vehicle can be equipped with an auxiliary diesel or battery drive, which allows travel outside the contact line. The energy intensity of operating the vehicle and maintenance costs are significantly reduced by an asynchronous traction motor and a microprocessor-controlled voltage inverter with recovery.
Passenger comfort is increased with the vehicle's low floor and wider aisles between the comfortable seats. Some trolleybuses also include devices for detecting the number of passengers. The vehicle also includes a tilting platform for wheelchair users.
