UCI-GATEWAY WTB communication node
Communication node UIC-GATEWAY represents an important component of equipment of railway vehicles operating according to international standard IEC 61375 and leafl et UIC 556. The motivation to comply with this standard is the benefi t to connect various series of railway cars and high functional reliability.
UIC-GATEWAY addresses UIC inauguration of the relevant train, message routing, processing data copying, aggregation functions and server mapping services. Message routing is done between train bus WTB and railway car bus MVB-CAN. Combination MVB-CAN offers features of MVB link layer and CAN bus physical layer. The solution normally contains redundancy of key components including physical WTB interface with full redundancy of hardware components.
