Škoda Transportation strengthens management for production, technology and logistics

Radoslaw Banach has been appointed to the position of Vice President for Production at Škoda Transportation, a member of the PPF Group, effective today.

His responsibilities include production, technology, lean management and logistics. At a time of strong growth in production capacity, the group welcomes a manager with extensive experience in similar transformations in the field of rolling stock production.

Our Škoda Group has been growing significantly since PPF Group joined in 2018, and the work backlog has grown from CZK 20 billion to more than CZK 80 billion. In connection with this, we have invested more than CZK 2 billion in expanding production and hired over 1,000 new employees in the last two years. I am confident that Radek Banach's experience will help us manage the massive growth in production volumes and further strengthen our position as a reliable and quality supplier of rail and wheeled vehicles for green mobility. Radoslaw Banach (51) has managed several manufacturing companies, including in the field of rail transport. He managed Alstom’s production branch in Katowice, Poland, for nine years. During his tenure, the production capacity almost tripled, with up to 3,000 people working at the plant. At Skoda, he will be responsible for several areas: production, technology, lean management and logistics.
