Residents and visitors of Pardubice can look forward to new modern trolleybuses from Škoda Transportation Group. The total value of the contract, which will start in the first quarter of next year, is approximately CZK 118 million. Škoda Transportation Group is part of PPF Group.
"The current contract for Pardubice builds on our previous successful deliveries for this eastern Bohemian city. The new Škoda 32 Tr vehicles will be equipped with batteries for off-board operation, offering the operator greater flexibility in transport. Thanks to their modern design and environmentally friendly operation, the trolleybuses will once again increase the quality of public transport travel and I trust that both passengers and operators will be satisfied with them.
Tanya Altmann, Senior Vice President for Bus Mobility Solutions at Škoda Transportation Group
Of the ten newly delivered trolleybuses, six will be equipped with batteries enabling emergency running, while four will be fully operational on routes up to 12 kilometres. The Pardubice public transport system currently operates 54 trolleybuses from Škoda, with the last delivery dating back to 2019.
