Škoda introduced new products at Czechbus 2023

The Škoda Group impressed the participants of the 12th edition of the Czechbus fair with its new products. Leading the pack was the Škoda-Solaris 24m trolleybus, a nearly 25-metre giant with an IPMS5 motor.

This five-phase inverter motor, designed for 18m vehicles, uses advanced SiC transistor technology to ensure lower energy consumption and longer range.

The Škoda-Solaris 24m for DPP will be the longest trolleybus operated in Czech public transport and will serve the line from Prague Veleslavín to Václav Havel Airport. As part of the event, a Škoda 32 TR trolleybus was also handed over to the Brno City Transport Company, which will strengthen the trolleybus network in the city.

The Astrid monitoring system, a platform for telemetry and remote diagnostics, was also on display at the Škoda booth. This system is used for vehicles in several European countries and collects their telemetry data, which then provides information on the condition of the vehicles. One of the advantages of this platform is the localisation in several languages and the possibility to easily add new languages.
