Škoda Transportation Deutschland

Based in Munich and Mannheim, Škoda Transportation Deutschland GmbH is in charge of customer dialogue, business and technical bidding and project management, and it provides lifelong care for our entire portfolio of mobility solutions.

We are a 100% subsidiary of the Škoda Transportation group, which has been designing, manufacturing and maintaining vehicles for over 160 years.
In Germany, our railway vehicles run in Schöneiche-Rüdersdorf (Brandenburg), Chemnitz (Saxony) and in Bavaria as the NIM Express; others are currently being designed and manufactured for the cities of Mannheim, Heidelberg, Ludwigshafen and Bonn, as well as for Frankfurt am Oder, Cottbus and Brandenburg am Havel. Our electric motors are reliable and cost-effective drive in hundreds of vehicles, even in those of competing manufacturers.
We are at your disposal for a non-binding dialogue at any time. Our ForCity Smart, Artic and Classic low-floor trams can be configured for all applications. The Nordic package is optimised for North Sea and Baltic Sea operations, and the Plus package provides a hybrid structure of bogies/running gear for the cost-effectiveness of your infrastructure and vehicle technology. The Classic PM package includes a gearless drive, fully suspended with air suspension and the most powerful Škoda synchronous motor.
We can also offer you the following:
Škoda Pars (Šumperk, CZ) specialises in all areas of repairs and modernisation of public and regional rail vehicles. In our specialised centre, we can handle both mechanical and electrical upgrades.
Škoda Digital (Ostrava, CZ) designs all control technology, including hardware for all rail vehicles, and it also offers in-cockpit displays for public and regional rail vehicles.
POLL offers powerful, low-maintenance air conditioning and heating systems for the driver’s cabin and passenger compartments.
Škoda Electric (Pilsen, CZ) is our specialised centre for electric drive systems. In addition to traction motors (synchronous and asynchronous), the company’s portfolio includes rectifiers, on-board converters, battery charging modules, supercapacitors and battery systems (for all performance classes).
